Christmas On the Island Fundraiser

South Seaside Park and many other parts of the barrier island have suffered some form of loss after Hurricane Sandy. Some of us were lucky, some of us were not, but the holiday season has arrived and I think it is time to start turning around some of that negative energy!

I love Christmas time, the entire holiday season, I think it brings out the best in people. People are more willing, more generous, and it is a time to be cheerful to be around the ones you love and grateful for all that you have.

This holiday season I think it is very important to be MOST thankful to the AMAZING people that have spent countless hours on the barrier islands trying to get it safe for us to return and rebuild. This includes the police officers (local, state, and out of state that have come to help), utility workers, cleanup crews, contractors, volunteers, and the list goes on.
