The East Windsor Township Council is seeking volunteers for appointment to various Township Boards and Committees, including the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Municipal Drug/Alcohol Alliance Committee, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and Municipal Utilities Authority, a press release said.
The Mayor and Council make appointments at the January reorganization meeting, as well as throughout the year as opportunities occur, the release said.
“We encourage residents to become a contributing part of their government by volunteering to serve on a Township board or committee," said Mayor Janice Mironov. "Our government operates best when volunteers offer input and advice on our operations and projects. Public participation provides mutual benefits for residents and elected officials, and hopefully stimulates citizens to have a greater interest in and understanding of the role of local government.”
