CDS In Motor Vehicle, Careless Driving: East Windsor Police Blotter
East Windsor Police Blotter dated Aug. 31 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ - On Aug. 24, at 8:02 p.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 571 after observing a vehicle driving under the speed limit and entering a closed business. The vehicle registration was also expired. Investigation revealed that the driver, a 56-year-old Keyport resident was in possession of drugs. She was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.
On Aug. 26, at 2:59 a.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Poplar Run after observing the vehicle obstructing traffic on the road. The 39-year-old driver exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The Hightstown resident was later released pending court action.
On Aug. 27, at 4:17 a.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop after observing the vehicle drive over a curb in the IHOP parking lot while attempting to park. The driver, a Hightstown resident, exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 32-year-old driver was later released pending court action.
