"Although residents are encouraged to be kind through the year, this day allows the community to focus on being accepting and compassionate towards others and about the challenges that impact our society today,” Bala said.

East Windsor Mayor Janice S Mironov commended Bala for starting the initiative. "For the first annual occasion, East Windsor-Hightstown Kind will host an afternoon of events to foster collaboration and spread the importance of kindness across the community,” Mironov said.
