East Windsor Honors Boy Scouts During 116th Anniversary Week
The Mayor presented proclamations and personal donations to Troop 5700 and Cub Pack 53, celebrating scouting's impact on the community.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — Mayor Janice S. Mironov issued a proclamation recognizing Boy Scouting Anniversary Week, Feb. 8-14, honoring two local troops and their leaders.
Mironov presented the proclamation, along with personal donations, to Boy Scout Troop 5700 and Cub Pack 53.
The proclamation noted that the Boy Scouts of America was officially founded in 1910 and is celebrating its 116th anniversary. It praised Boy Scouting as a "youth program of character development, value-based programs and leadership training" and recognized scouts' "volunteerism, commitment to others, and dedication to bettering themselves and their communities."

"We are proud to celebrate our local Boy Scout troops during Scouting Anniversary Week and highlight the valuable and fun opportunities scouting provides for young people in East Windsor," Mironov said. "Boy scouting, with the engagement and guidance of adult leaders, offers young people a chance to learn new skills, build lasting friendships and develop strong foundational values."
Mironov thanked scouts and leaders for making the community’s scouting program a vibrant part of the township.

"To all the young people who choose to join scouting, we commend you on making a choice that will enrich your life and create lasting memories,” Mironov said.
