East Windsor Man Accused Of Child Sex Assault Faces Additional Charges

A second victim came forward to accuse Menachem A. Chinn of sexual assault this week.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — An East Windsor man previously charged with child sexual assault now faces accusations from a second alleged victim, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri and East Windsor Township Police Chief James A. Geary said on Wednesday. Menachem A. Chinn, 40, was charged last month with one count of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of sexual assault in connection with an incident that happened in his home in 2012.

Following media reports of Chinn’s arrest, a second victim reached out to law enforcement, according to authorities. On Tuesday, Chinn was additionally charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of sexual assault.

The alleged victim, who is now an adult, claims Chinn had inappropriate sexual contact with him at Chinn’s home on a number of occasions between July 2010 and May 2011. Chinn was previously the victim’s teacher and youth group religious mentor. Chinn is currently detained at the Mercer County Correction Center. The investigation is ongoing.
