East Windsor Mayor's Wellness Walk & Talk Returns Sept. 26
The Sept. 26 event is part of the township's participation in the Mayors Wellness Campaign.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — Mayor Janice Mironov and the East Windsor Health Advisory Board are hosting the township's second Community Walk and Talk on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 9 a.m. at Etra Lake Park.
The walk will follow the Etra Lake Park Pathway, located at 9 Disbrow Hill Road, which is approximately one mile long and can be walked multiple times at participants' discretion, according to the township. A rain date is set for Oct. 3.
The event is the kickoff activity for East Windsor's participation in the Mayors Wellness Campaign, an initiative sponsored by the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute, officials said.

According to East Windsor Health Advisory Board Chairman Jay Mermelstein and Vice-Chair Antoinette Holder, the Walk and Talk is a community wellness initiative designed to encourage physical activity, promote overall health and strengthen connections among residents.
They said the relaxed Saturday morning walk is meant to offer a simple, accessible form of exercise while giving participants a chance to socialize and support a shared commitment to community well-being, with the goal of making health and wellness approachable for residents of all ages and abilities.

Mironov and council members previously joined Mermelstein and Holder in signing the Mayors Wellness Campaign Annual Pledge of Participation, part of the township's ongoing involvement in the statewide initiative.
