EAST WINDSOR, NJ — East Windsor Regional School District is slated to receive $46,948,609 in state aid for the 2026-27 school year.
This is a reduction of $913,318, or 2 percent, from the current year's allocation, according to figures released recently by the New Jersey Department of Education.

Under New Jersey's school funding formula, the difference between a district's adequacy budget and its local cost share — calculated using property values and resident income — is what the state covers through equalization aid, according to the NJSBA's School Finance 101 guide. A reduction in equalization aid accounts for the bulk of the district's overall decline this year.
The figures are part of Sherrill's proposed budget and are subject to legislative approval.
