East Windsor Seeks Nominees For Sylvia Weiss Senior Citizen Award

The annual award recognizes a senior citizen who has shown outstanding service by volunteering in the community.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — East Windsor is seeking nominations for its Sylvia Weiss Senior Citizen Award for Outstanding Service as a Volunteer.

The annual award recognizes a senior citizen who has shown outstanding service by volunteering in the community by way of the schools, religious institutions, service organizations or directly to the public.

Nominees must be East Windsor residents who are at least 60 years old. Nomination forms, due by Thursday, April 13, are available at the municipal building, on the township website, or by calling the Municipal Clerk's office at 609-443-4000, ext. 238.

The award is named after Sylvia Weiss, a former East Windsor Township Council Member, past Council senior citizen advisor and chairperson of the Commission on Aging, who was instrumental in the original formation of the senior citizen program.
