East Windsor Seeks Volunteers For Township Boards And Commissions

Appointments are made during the January reorganization meeting, as well as throughout the year when there's a vacancy.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — Would you like to be an active community member? Help the Township make decisions to improve the quality of life? Then this is your chance.

East Windsor Council is encouraging residents to volunteer for appointments to the various Township Boards and Committees. The Mayor and Council make appointments at the January reorganization meeting, as well as throughout the year when there’s a vacancy.

“We encourage residents to become a contributing part of their government by volunteering to serve on a Township board or committee. Our government operates best when volunteers offer input and advice on our operations and projects,” Mayor Janice Mironov said.

“Public participation provides mutual benefits for residents and elected officials, and hopefully stimulates citizens to have a greater interest in and understanding of the role of local government.”

  • Clean Communities Advisory Committee
  • Commission on Aging
  • East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse
  • Economic Development Committee
  • Environmental Commission
  • Health Advisory Board
  • Local Assistance Board
  • Planning Board
  • Recreation Commission
  • Zoning Board of Adjustment

Vacancies may be open on other boards and committees. Those interested in volunteering can get an application form from the Municipal Clerk or the Township website. Send a letter of interest and a resume and information about your background to Mayor Janice S.
