Why are you running for Township Council?

These past years in office, have allowed me to see that proper government, hard work and a good team, does make a difference. I have seen with my own eyes how things can change for the better, and that with innovative thinking, good ideas and following through…. this administration has, and will continue, to make East Windsor Township, a showcase Township in the state. These past 28 years, I have made East Windsor my home. Everyone including myself wants the best for their  home.  I hope to continue to serve the people of East Windsor Township, and make East Windsor Township an exceptional place to live.

What are the three issues most important to you, and why?
1. Fiscal Responsibility: Especially in these times, residents need to be certain that the individuals representing them are experienced and knowledgeable in budgets and spending. Every year, budgets are analyzed line by line and item by item. Department heads are called in and need to account for every dollar. This administration, under Mayor Mironov, has shown that when tough decisions need to be made, we make them. We never stop thinking about the hard economic times the country is going through. We need to make sure that every dollar is stretched to its’ limits. Just as important as budgets, is applying for grants. This administration has an excellent reputation of applying for and receiving grant money. This money, saves the Township hundreds of thousands of dollars. We have received grants for Roadways, parks, pathways….and the list goes on. I will continue to work with my team, to make sure that applying for grants , stays at the top of our list.

2. Resident Services: Myself, and this administration has prided itself in this area.

We are constantly being complimented on the work our Public Works Department performs. This winter was one of the worst in years. Where other towns were trying to unbury themselves, our roads were clear and passable. Schedules were altered to minimize overtime, to get the most production out of our crews….Our leaf collecting program, and response to Hurricane Irene, are just two other examples where our residents were able to see first hand  results. Presentation of a Town is critical, and this administration is proud of ours.  Our Police Department is second to none in the state. The staff, the leadership and the reputation stands alone amongst other towns. Our Police Chief, Bill Spain, who also heads our Emergency Management, works  closely with Mayor and council at all times. This is a team effort put together by this administration.  Each year, this Township Council, puts together a Roadway improvement   plan. Hours are spent analyzing and implementing this plan. Grants are received , and funds are maximized.  Summarizing, Resident Services such as Police, Public Works, Road Improvement, are all critical areas that affect the Quality of Life of East Windsor residents…..and will continue to be on the top of this administration’s list.

3. Park and Pathways: Watching parks and pathways be designed, engineered and built…..then observing residents enjoy the result has always been most rewarding to me. Without parks, pathways, and areas where residents can enjoy life….a Town is not complete.  This administration has never lost sight of the reason people come to East Windsor. They work hard during the week….and need a place where they can come with their kids and enjoy life. I am very proud of the parks, tot lots, softball field and bike paths. That’s what it’s all about!

Why should residents vote for you?
Every member of this administration has played an important role in Township gov’t. I am proud of the role I’ve played and I will continue to work hard for our residents. Our experience and credibility throughout the state is well known. No one has never accused this council of not working hard, getting results, and keeping East Windsor residents  FIRST. All of this, along with our business sense, and fiscal responsibility,  is reason enough for people to vote for us.  Myself, Mayor Mironov, and the rest of the team, will continue to work hard for the Residents of East Windsor Township, and would be honored for another four years.
