UPDATE: Who Were the Big Winners on Primary Day in Mercer County?

Voters cast ballots in county and federal primary elections on Tuesday.

On the same night Hillary Clinton appeared to clinch the Democratic nomination in this year's presidential election, U.S. Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman turned back a challenger in the 12th District Democratic Primary, according to unofficial results.

Watson Coleman easily turned back a challenge from former Franklin Township Mayor Alex Kucsma in the Democratic Primary. Watson Coleman won the nomination with 96 percent of the vote, and now turns her focus to Steven Uccio, who ran for the Republican nomination unopposed.

With 94 percent of precincts reporting, Mercer County Freeholder Andrew Koontz and candidate Anthony Verelli won the Democratic Party's nominations for two open seats in November's general elections.
