Methodist Madness Basketball Program

It is that time of year – Methodist Madness Basketball Program will begin its 18th year. It will start on Monday, July 9th and run through Wednesday, August 8, with the Family Picnic and Trophy Night. This year there is a change in the days that the program will run - we will again play on Monday, but have changed to Wednesday, not Thursday. This basketball program is sponsored by the First United Methodist Church (187 Stockton Street in Hightstown) and is open to all children of the community from the ages 8 through 18, at no charge to them. The
program starts at 6:15 PM and ends at 8:00 PM. The program offers the kids 5 weeks of friendly basketball games, trophy competitions, and theme nights. Each night there are healthy snack bags and drinks given out, in addition to trophies for nightly competitions. After attending 4 sessions, all eligible children receive a Methodist Madness T-shirt. For children who are too young for the basketball program there are opportunities to take part in craft nights and other similar activities designed for their age. All children are welcome.
