The Human Services Board of the Township of Cranbury will be sponsoring a collection drive for gently used, durable medical equipment on May 19, 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the First Presbyterian Church, 22 South Main Street, Cranbury. The event will take place rain or shine.
The items to be collected will be limited to: manual wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, shower chairs, commodes, tray tables, grab bars, portable ramps and other small pieces of equipment. Unopened boxes of medical supplies will also be accepted. Special arrangements must be made for the donation of hospital beds, patient lifts, motorized wheelchairs or scooter. Tax receipts will be available for all donors.
The collected items will be donated to Your ReSource, a division of Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey & Philadelphia, a non-profit human service and environmental organization. Your ReSource is located in Ewing and provides refurbished home medical equipment at low cost to individuals and families. There is no eligibility or prescriptions required.
