Firefighter Charged For Stealing $58K In East Windsor: Police
Michael V. Crismali misappropriated funds from the East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company 2, police said.
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — A volunteer firefighter from East Winsdor was charged last month for stealing $58,000 from the fire company while serving as their treasurer, police said.
Michael V. Crismali, 43, of East Windsor misappropriated funds from the East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company 2, between April 2017 and July 2019, police said.
Officials from the fire company approached the police in February saying they suspected Crismalihad misappropriated funds, police said. An investigation found that Crismali stole $58,000, police said.

He was arrested and charged with official misconduct and theft. He was released pending court action. The charges have been forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office for prosecution, East Windsor police said.
