Former Monmouth County Prosecutor Allegedly Drove Drunk in East Windsor
Luis Valentin's court appearance scheduled for Monday has been postponed.

Former Monmouth County Prosecutor Luis Valentin has been charged with drunken driving and numerous other charges related to a traffic stop last month, East Windsor Municipal Court said on Friday.
His appearance, originally scheduled for Monday morning, has been postponed until March 7, 9 a.m., according to court officials.
He was stopped by East Windsor Police on Route 33 just after midnight on Dec. 18.

The 49-year-old Manalapan man also allegedly refused a breathalyzer test during the stop. 18. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain lane.
He previously worked with Gov. Chris Christie at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and is also a former Hudson County assistant prosecutor.

He was the first Hispanic county prosecutor in the state. He was appointed to the position by then-governor Richard Codey in 2005.
