Lippman, Mironov, Yeager and Zoller Sworn into Office
Mironov was re-elected as mayor, Shapiro elected deputy mayor.
State Sen. Linda Greenstein (D-Mercer) swore in East Windsor Township Council’s newest member along with three re-elected officials, and the council elected the mayor and deputy mayor at Sunday’s reorganization meeting.
Mayor Janice Mironov, Marc Lippman, Peter Yeager and the newest member, John Zoller, were sworn in at the meeting, as well as the new deputy mayor, Perry Shapiro.
Both Mironov and Yeager said in emails Wednesday that they will be focusing on attracting new businesses and expand recreation in town. Yeager also said he plans to focus on increasing and protecting preserved open-space and farmland, and continue creating a ‘green’ Township, while keeping taxes as low as possible.

Mironov also said she is looking to improve roadways and transportation, and continue to offer high quality municipal services and senior programs. She also encouraged residents to volunteer.
“We expect another challenging budget year and will again address budgeting and spending with a fiscally conservative philosophical approach on behalf of our taxpayers,” Mironov said.

Zoller said in an email that he will be supporting Mayor Janice Mironov’s plans.
“I intend to support the Mayor’s initiatives in 2012 as I learn the business processes,” Zoller said. “She has excellent skills and knowledge in the government of the Township.”
In an email Tuesday, Lippman recognized 2012 will be a challenging year.
“As difficult a year this is going to be, I am confident that with an administration as experienced as this one, we still get through the year and continue to make East Windsor a Township that all residents will be proud of,” Lippman said.
During the meeting, Walter T. Daniels, Jr. and Marsha Weinstein were also recognized for their time serving on council.
