The township is accepting application for the planning and zoning board, Commission on Ageing and Health Advisory Board.
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — Have you ever wanted to volunteer on boards and commissions? Here’s your chance. East Windsor is inviting residents to volunteer to the various Township Boards and Committees.
The Boards and Commissions that are currently accepting applications include the Clean Communities Advisory Committee, Commission on Aging, East Windsor Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse, Economic Development Committee, Environmental Commission, Health Advisory Board, Local Assistance Board, Planning Board, Recreation Board and Zoning Board.
“We encourage residents to become a contributing part of their government by volunteering to serve on a Township board of committee,” Mayor Janice Mironov said. “Our government operates best when volunteers offer input and advice on our operations and projects. Public participation provides mutual benefits for residents and elected officials, and hopefully stimulates citizens to have a greater interest in and understanding of the role of local government.”
