Hightstown Police Officer Termination Cost

Politics

Currently the amount the borough has spent on terminating Police Officer Frank Marchione is $180,826.99 not including the appeal, his attorneys fees, back pay and any wrongful termination lawsuit. To put that in perspective let's include all the council members that voted to terminate and appeal Marchione's employment. Seth Kurs, Denny Hansen Larry Quattrone all pay around $9,000 in property tax. Steve Misiura pays $11k and since Connor Montferrat doesn't own a house we'll use his dad's which is $10,000. So with the money the borough spent any one of them could live in the borough tax free for 20 yrs. When you account for Frank's legal fees the borough will have to reimburse, that number jumps to 35 yrs tax free. The money they have and continue to waste trying to get rid of one police officer has surpassed $315k. It's not only stupidity at its finest but criminal in its misappropriation of tax payers money. To allow any of them to continue the governance of this borough is ludicrous. We want our money back. We want our money to go to sidewalks, road repair, parks, lamp posts and landscaping what they have done with this money is wasted in such an egregious way that not only is it gone but there is a lawsuit sure to come that will strip us of even more opportunities. When they took this job it was with the understanding they would make it better. They haven't.
