18-Year-Old From Hightstown Charged With Murder In Wildwood Stabbing Death
DaJohn L. Taylor, 18, stabbed Kaiden Braithwaite, 20, of Cliffwood, NJ after an altercation between two groups, officials said.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ – An 18-year-old from Hightstown was charged with first-degree murder for a stabbing death in Wildwood, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland, and Chief Robert Regalbuto of the Wildwood Police Department said.
DaJohn L. Taylor, 18, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
On Sunday, June 11, around 2:23 a.m., the Wildwood Police Department received a 911 call for a disturbance in the area of Magnolia and Atlantic Avenue.

On arrival, officers found Kaiden Braithwaite, 20, from Cliffwood, NJ dead from numerous stab wounds, Sutherland said..
According to the initial investigation, a group of people were walking by 307 East Magnolia Avenue around 2:15 a.m. and had a verbal argument with a second group standing on the porch.

The verbal dispute escalated to physical altercation at which time, Taylor stabbed Braithwaite and two others multiple times, and fled the scene, Sutherland said.
Detectives from the Prosecutor's Office and Wildwood Police Department with the assistance of the East Windsor and Hightstown Police Departments, continued the investigation and on the evening of June 11, filed first degree murder charges, along with possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon, against Taylor.
On Monday afternoon, Taylor turned himself into the Wildwood Police Department at which time additional charges of attempted homicide and two counts of aggravated assault were filed against him, Sutherland said.
Taylor was processed and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility pending Court proceedings.
"This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be filed,” Sutherland said.
