How Much Is COVID Spreading In Mercer County?

This week, COVID-19 cases increased by 15 percent in the county.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Mercer County and New Jersey has seen an uptick in coronavirus cases. But what does that mean for the county?

The County saw roughly a 15 percent increase in new COVID-19 positive cases from last week. As of Friday, Mercer County reported 54 new coronavirus cases, but no COVID-19-related deaths. The cumulative total of coronavirus cases now stands at 36, 249, with 958 confirmed deaths since the pandemic began last year.

Mercer County has "moderate" COVID activity, according to New Jersey's latest COVID-19 activity report (week ending Oct. 16). The determination is based on metrics such as case rate, positivity rate, and prevalence of COVID-like illnesses.

Meanwhile, eligible patients can get an additional dose of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.
