Increase In Drug, Alcohol Cases In East Windsor Schools

EAST WINDSOR, NJ - The East Windsor Regional School District saw an increase in the number of substance abuse cases last year, according to a recently released list.

New Jersey has released its annual list of substance-abuse cases reported by each school district, revealing the most recent data of reported cases.

The state has also released the list of highest increases – and biggest reductions – in cases from the previous year, between 2016-17 and 2017-18, which were the most recent years available.

The East Windsor Public School District reported 14 cases of drug and alcohol abuse last year, ranking it No. 103 in the state. It was an increase of eight cases over the previous year, ranking it 64th in New Jersey.

The state Department of Education has cautioned that these numbers are reported by each district, so each jurisdiction is responsible for reporting its results fairly and accurately. But they are required by law to report them.
