MCCC to Host “Spring Into Student Success” Scholarship Fundraiser April 7
Part of college's 50th anniversary celebration

WEST WINDSOR – As Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC) year-long 50th anniversary celebration draws to a close, the MCCC Foundation will host its annual spring scholarship fundraiser “Spring Into Student Success!” on Friday, April 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Stone Terrace, 2275 Kuser Road in Hamilton.
Now in its 28th year, all proceeds from the celebratory event support student scholarships. Event co-chairs are Nina D. Melker, senior vice president at Berkshire Bank, and Mercer County Freeholder Pasquale “Pat” Colavita Jr.
“Today’s college students face financial challenges that didn’t even exist a few short years ago,” Melker said. “But through our collective efforts, we have the power to help them attend college and achieve their goals.”

Each year the MCCC Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships to high-achieving and financially-qualified students, including non-traditional students, part-time students, and single parents. Many students benefit from endowed or named scholarships established by donors through the Foundation. This year alone, nearly $300,000 in scholarships will be awarded. According to Colavita, all is made possible through partnerships forged throughout the community.
“The Spring Into Student Success event represents what’s best about Mercer County – community partners coming together for the benefit of MCCC students with the focus on helping them achieve their personal and professional objectives,” Colavita said.
