McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union's Golf Classic Tees Off For National Junior Tennis & Learning of Trenton
McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union's 11th Golf Classic raises over $40,000 for this year's beneficiary, NJTLT.
September 5, 2014; Princeton, N.J. – The 11th Annual McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union Golf Classic raised over $40,000 in support of The VOICE Foundation, the credit union’s charitable giving association. The event, which played host to over 70 golfers at Jasna Polana, Princeton, N.J., also raised awareness for financial literacy and education programs as financial distress poses a heightened challenge to today’s youth and working families.
The funds raised support the National Junior Tennis and Learning of Trenton (NJTLT), the golf classic’s primary beneficiary. NJTL programs, such as its ACE Curriculum program, improve youths’ attitudes and behaviors around math, literacy, and school climate.
An avid NJTLT supporter, McGraw-Hill FCU’s Golf Classic comes just several months after the VOICE Foundation donated $20,000 to NJTLT during the 21st Annual NJTLT Gala held spring 2014.

“The VOICE Foundation impacts lives in the communities we serve,” said Shawn Gilfedder, MHFCU President/CEO. “Lack of financial education programs is a problem within these communities. The VOICE Foundation, through its partnerships with organizations such as NJTLT, offers a powerful prescription to help families achieve financial success and well-being.”
Since its inception in 2009, the VOICE Foundation has raised over $500,000 in support of financial health and wellness programs. The foundation supports wellness initiatives benefiting three core beneficiaries, including: National Junior Tennis and Learning of Trenton (NJTLT), Tyler G. Hicks Scholarship Program, and The Children’s Miracle Network.
