Mercer's Tulpehaking Nature Center To Host Young Explorers For Summer Camp

Campers will learn about the Abbott Marshlands through hands-on exploration, games, and crafts.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Nature lovers across Mercer County can spend a week unplugging and exploring the outdoors at Tulpehaking Nature Camp. The event hosted by Mercer County will be held at the Tulpehaking Nature Center along the edge of the Abbott Marshlands.

Open to children ages 7 to 12, the camp uses the unique freshwater tidal marsh as an outdoor classroom, introducing campers to the area’s ecosystem and history while highlighting the traditions of the Lenape people who lived in the region for centuries.

Each day blends hands-on outdoor exploration with traditional Lenape games and crafts, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a deeper connection to nature.
