More Than $2.5K In Home Depot Merchandise Shoplifted In East Windsor

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — An East Windsor resident was charged after he walked out of the local Home Depot without paying for the merchandise, police said.
On Sept. 12, at 3:28 p.m., officers responded to Home Depot for a report of shoplifting.
According to an investigation, Angel R Ortiz, 43, left the store without paying for the merchandise valued at $2,899.49. Police also found him in possession of suspected controlled dangerous substances, authorities said.

Ortiz was charged with shoplifting, possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
He was released pending court action.
