Paddlesport 2015 Coming to Somerset March 27-29

PADDLESPORT 2015, the east coast’s largest kayak, canoe, kayak fishing and stand-up paddling show, is coming to the Garden State Expo Center in Somerset, N.J. March 27-29, 2015 to give lifelong paddlers and newcomers to paddle sports a chance to explore the latest and greatest in paddling products, discover new skills and techniques in innovative classes and compare prices to find great deals on kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards.

Over 100 vendors and manufacturers will be featured at Paddlesport 2015, with special attention being given this year to both kayak fishing and stand-up paddleboarding, two sports which have exploded in popularity in recent years. Families can explore kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddling, and learn how they can take part in these affordable and exciting activities close to home.

“What it can cost a person to take their powerboat and get it ready for the season is what it will cost you to buy one of the best fishing kayaks on the market,” said John Durrua, owner of The Jersey Paddler, the Brick Township-based kayak, canoe and stand-up paddle board retailer that hosts Paddlesport each year.

Highlights of Paddlesport 2015 include equipment demonstrations in an indoor pool, fold-up kayaks, children’s kayaks and even wind-powered kayaks. Speakers will present talks on a number of paddling activities, including fishing and exercise techniques.
