Possession of Heroin, Reckless Driving: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor Police blotter through Wednesday, May 31 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On May 26, at 2:40 a.m., an officer responded to a Williamson Court residence for a reported theft of a bicycle. Investigation revealed that a 46-year-old East Windsor resident stole the victim's bicycle from his front porch. Officers were provided with a description of the man and located him riding the stolen bicycle a short distance away. The man was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.
On May 27, at 10:50 a.m., an officer responded to Old York Road for a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident with the vehicle off the road. The driver complained of pain due to the crash but also exhibited signs of impairment. The driver, a 58-year-old Hamilton man, was taken to the hospital for treatment. Investigation revealed that he failed to maintain his lane, struck a mailbox and came to a stop after striking a tree. Officers found heroin and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and the driver was charged on a complaint summons.
On May 27, at 4:10 p.m., an officer responded to the shopping plaza at 680 Route 33 (Galleria at Twin Rivers), after receiving a report of a man operating a vehicle under the influence. The officer located the described vehicle in the parking lot and spoke with the driver. The driver, a 70-year-old Hightstown man, exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. The driver was later released pending court action.

On May 27, at 7:36 p.m., an officer responded to ShopRite for a report of shoplifting. Investigation revealed that a 29-year-old Plainsboro resident left the store without paying for $286.37 worth of merchandise. The woman was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.
On May 28, at 10:25 p.m., an officer responded to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. Investigation revealed that a Lawrenceville resident left the store without paying for $243.06 worth of merchandise. The 29-year-old was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.

On May 29 at 1:13 p.m., officers responded to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. Investigation revealed that two people, one from Blackwood and the other from Woodstown, left the store without paying for $390.61 worth of merchandise. Additionally, both of them were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and crack cocaine. Both were placed under arrest. One was later released pending court action. The second person was charged on a complaint summons and transported to the Mercer County Correctional Center for multiple outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions.
