Red Cross Blood Drive In East Windsor Set For Aug. 18

A blood shortage that began in July continues.

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — The American Red Cross will host a blood drive in East Windsor next weekend as a blood shortage that began in July continues. The blood drive takes place on Saturday, Aug. 18, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Hightstown Elks Lodge No. 1955, 110 Hickory Corner Road.

Many regular donors hold off on giving blood so they can take their final summer vacations and get ready for the start of school, according to the Red Cross. Donations are needed now, especially for Type O blood.

In thanks for helping at this urgent time, all those who come to donate blood or platelets July 30 through Aug. 30, 2018, will receive a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card via email.
