Rogers School Fire Alarm Set Off Accidentally

Superintendent says a student bumped into the alarm.

Fire trucks responded to the Grace Norton Rogers school Friday afternoon, but emergency responders soon found there was no emergency.

"A second grade student accidentally bumped the fire alarm," Superintendent Ed Forsthoffer said. "The students did evacuate the building — the alarm went off and that’s what we do."

The student's teacher told the principal, who went around and told students the alarm going off was an accident, Dr. Forsthoffer said.
