Spanish Exchange Program Dress Sale Benefits Spain Trip
Over 70 dresses will be on sale Saturday.
The Spanish Exchange program at is holding a prom dress sale on Saturday to help pay for their trip to Spain.
Teachers, students and community members have donated dresses, said Spanish Exchange Coordinator Donna Ratner.
“We have over 70 dresses, which include magnificent gowns and gorgeous dresses,” Ratner said in an email Wednesday. “The sizes range from petite to full figured.”

Ratner said council member Lynne Woods has been involved with fundraising for the program and came up with the idea for the prom dress sale.
“She [Woods] has been very helpful in fundraising for the Spanish Exchange program and was trying to think of something different. She mentioned this idea and I loved it,” Ratner said.

All 18 students who are going to Spain on March 28 will be helping out at the sale, and community members have also offered to volunteer. The dress sale will be held in the upstairs ballroom at from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
This is the first year the program has held a dress sale.
“We believe that this is a great opportunity for students to be able to choose a beautiful dress at a very affordable price. We are very excited to share this event with the community,” Ratner said.
