Storm Keeps Wolverines Caged

In the blazing heat on a slanted field Storm left everything they had on the field beating Hazlet's Wolverines 4-2.

Mikayla Capasso started the scoring in the 1st half off a scramble and a nicely placed cross from Ragan McKenna.

Hazlet started the second half strong tying the game when Storm failed to clear the ball.

Storm answered quickly with a throw in leading to a scramble in the box and Grace O'Leary found an opening to the left of Hazlet's keeper.

As the game wore on Hazlet again tied it when their striker made a nice run against Storm's tiring defense.

Storm again responded quickly with Paityn Morgan slipping behind two defenders on the run and crossing the ball to Payton Rupp at the 18.

Payton fired a perfect shot into the upper corner for the 3-2 lead.

Storm finally put the game away when Meg Regan trapped a clearing pass and sent a long ball to Grace O'Leary who delivered alone in front of the Hazlet keeper.
