Stream Cleanup In East Windsor Set For Saturday
Residents are invited to come to the cleanup at Etra Lake Park this weekend.

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ - East Windsor Township and the Watershed Institute, in cooperation with the Americorps Watershed Ambassador Program, are co-sponsoring a stream cleanup on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Etra Lake Park. Residents are encouraged to join in the stream clean-up to help collect trash and recyclables in the area.
“We encourage residents to participate in this worthwhile community cleanup effort at Etra Lake Park, as a terrific way to preserve our natural resources,” East Windsor Mayor Janice S. Mironov said. “The purpose of this cleanup is to remove litter from our local watershed streams, helping to keep our water sources clean, and provide for a cleaner and more environmentally healthy stream.”
The Watershed Institute will provide T-shirts and refreshments. Residents who want to participate can sign up by contacting Erin Stretz at estretz@thewatershedinstitue.org.
