Theft, Shoplifting: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor police blotter dated June 22 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ – On June 16, an officer responded to Walmart for a report of theft. Investigation revealed that a Walmart employee stole $400 in cash from a purse that was unknowingly left in a restroom by a customer. The employee, a 23-year-old Scotch Plains resident, was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.
On June 16, around 3:28 p.m., an officer responded to ShopRite for a report of shoplifting. According to investigation, a North Brunswick resident attempted to leave the store without paying for $191.63 worth of merchandise. The 33-year-old man was placed under arrest and charged on a complaint summons pending court action. The man was transported to the Middlesex County Correctional Center for an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction.
