100 Edison Homes, Facilities Affected By Water Main Break

EDISON, NJ — Around 100 homes and facilities, including an assisted living facility and local businesses, were affected by a water main break in Edison on Thursday, officials said.

The water main break occurred along Oak Tree Road from Dayton Drive to Peru Street.

Edison officials said the repairs are anticipated to take 12-15 hours, which may run through the night, into tomorrow.

All affected customers will be notified by Middlesex Water.

"We are working in coordination with our OEM team, the Health Department, NJ Department of Environmental Protection, NJ Board of Public Utilities, and County Fire to coordinate accommodations for those in need," Mayor Sam Joshi said.
