9/11 Remembrance Ceremony To Be Held In Edison On Sunday

In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved inside to the municipal building

EDISON, NJ — Edison Township will be hosting a 9/11 remembrance ceremony on Sunday, 10 a.m. at Papaianni Park’s Memorial Fountain.

The event is being hosted by the Mayor and township's first responders.

“It’s been 21 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center, where thousands of Americans lost their lives, including several Edison residents,” Mayor Sam Joshi said.

“Our young adults and children are growing up learning about 9/11 from textbooks. However, ceremonies like these help us remember and honor the recent past, and recognize the ongoing sacrifices of our first responders.”

In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the second-floor Council Chambers in the Municipal Building.
