• Court orders Edison to reconsider Turnpike billboard denial (mycentraljersey.com) — Edison's Zoning Board has been ordered by a state appeals court to redo its review of a 100-foot digital billboard proposed along the New Jersey Turnpike at 740 Old Post Road. Judges said a former chairwoman's comments and a weak written decision made the earlier denial arbitrary, so the township must hold a new hearing and vote on the application.
   

• Planning Board Approves Private Driveway for Mayor Joshi's New Home (tapinto.net) — Edison's mayor, Sam Joshi, has received planning approval to add a private gated driveway and split his large Mercer Street property into three lots for his family's new home and potential future sale. To avoid conflicts, zoning board members, not his own appointees on the planning board, heard the application, which also includes demolishing existing structures and planting new trees.
