EDISON, NJ — Edison Academy Magnet School ranked No. 40 nationally and second in New Jersey in U.S. News & World Report's 2026-2027 Best High Schools rankings, released Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The rankings evaluated Edison Academy Magnet School against 17,945 nationally ranked schools and 415 ranked schools in New Jersey. The school tied for No. 1 nationally in College Readiness Index rank and Graduation Rate rank, and ranked No. 1 in New Jersey for College Curriculum Breadth Index. It ranked No. 3 in the state for State Assessment Proficiency and No. 9 for State Assessment Performance.
The AP participation rate at Edison Academy Magnet School is 100%, according to U.S. News. The school's 12th grade enrollment is 41 students, and 2% of students are economically disadvantaged.
Edison Academy Magnet School is one of five high schools in the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School District.
The rankings are based on six performance measures, including student achievement on state-required assessments, graduation rates and college readiness. U.S. News also considers how well schools serve underserved students, participation and performance on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams, curriculum breadth and overall student outcomes. The rankings use data from the 2023-2024 school year and were produced with research firm RTI International.
