Back To School: 2021-22 School Calendar For Edison, Metuchen

EDISON, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Edison and Metuchen, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Edison Township Public Schools, and Metuchen School District.

The first day of school for Edison students is Sep. 1 and Metuchen students go back to school on Sep. 9.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Edison Township Public Schools

• First Day: Sep.1
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26 (Early dismissal Nov. 24)
• Winter Break: Dec. 24 - 31 (Early dismissal Dec. 23)
• Spring Break: April 15 - 22, 2022
• Last Day: June 17.

Metuchen School District

• First Day: Sep. 9
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26 (Early dismissal Nov. 24)
• Winter Break: Dec. 24 - 31 (Early dismissal Dec. 23)
• Spring Break: April 15 - 22, 2022
• Last Day: June 20.
