As parents prepare for the first day of school in Edison, here are a few dates to remember:

The first day of school in Edison in Sept. 6. All schools and offices will be closed on Sept. 5 for Labor Day.
As of now, there are no mask mandates for students and staff.

The CDC is expected to significantly relax COVID-19 school guidelines in the coming days, according to a news report by CNN.

If enacted, the changes to COVID guidelines would represent a shift in last school year's policies in New Jersey. The state ended its school mask mandate March 7, and only a handful of districts maintained them or brought them back during last spring's surge.

- First Day: Sep. 6, 2022
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25
- Winter Break: Dec. 26 - 30.
- Spring Break: April 3, 2023 - April 7, 2023
- Last Day: June 16, 2023
