Back To School: Metuchen School District Calendar 2022-23
As parents prepare for the first day of school in Metuchen, here are a few dates to remember:
METUCHEN, NJ — The first day of school is less than a month away and families have already begun their planning and preparing.
The first day of school in Metuchen in Sept. 6.
All schools and offices will be closed on Sept. 5 for Labor Day. As of now, there are no mask mandates for students and staff.

Gov. Phil Murphy On Monday signed an executive order lifting the COVID-19 testing requirement for unvaccinated school employees, child care staff and state contractors. The state will still require school districts and child care facilities to report vaccination and testing data to allow the New Jersey Department of Health to "continue to monitor COVID-19 and make data-driven decisions to keep residents safe."

- Election Day – Schools Closed: Nov. 8
- Fall recess: Nov 7-11
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25
- Winter Break: Dec. 26 - Dec. 30.
- Spring Break: April 3, 2023 - April 7, 2023
- Last Day: June 20, 2023 (early dismissal)
