A. Mohamed, a 7th Grader Secures 2nd Place in Under 1200 Section

Somerset, New Jersey — Cedar Hill Prep proudly announces that A. Mohamed, a 7th grader, has achieved a significant milestone at the 76th Annual New Jersey Open Championship held at the Cherry Hill DoubleTree Hotel.


In a competition that drew hundreds of students from New Jersey and beyond, A. Mohamed secured an impressive 2nd place in the Under 1200 Section. His performance was exceptional, featuring 3 wins and 2 draws out of 5 matches. This accomplishment highlights not only his advanced chess skills but also his commendable sportsmanship.
