METUCHEN, NJ — CVS Pharmacy recently closed its only store in Metuchen, located on 45 Pearl Street.

"Prescriptions were transferred to the CVS Pharmacy at 913 Oak Tree Avenue in South Plainfield, which is less than four miles away, ensuring that pharmacy customers continue to have uninterrupted access to service. We understand the disappointment of our closed store's neighbors and customers. We are committed to the central New Jersey area and will continue to provide the community with outstanding service at our other CVS Pharmacy locations nearby," the spokesperson said.
The popular drugstore said it currently has no announcement to make about additional store closure in New Jersey. In the next three years, CVS plans to close around 300 stores across the country, as it shifts its focus to digital, the company announced last year.
