Duo Caught While Fleeing Metuchen Home, Charged With Burglary: PD

During a foot chase, two Metuchen Officers were injured, police said. The men were charged with burglary and other offenses.

METUCHEN, NJ – Two men were charged with burglary, theft and other offenses after authorities caught them fleeing a residence in Metuchen, police said.

On Nov. 11, police patrol received a report of a burglary in progress at a home on Michael Drive.

When authorities reached the address, two men fled the house and a foot chase ensued. During the foot chase two Metuchen Officers were injured, police said

Christian Andres Jaimes-Soto, 22, of Columbia and Jhon Edwin Ibarra-Angulo, 23, of Union City were apprehended by police, who believe there’s another man at large.

Jaimes-Soto and Ibarra-Angulo were charged with multiple offenses including burglary, theft and resisting arrest.
