Former Board member, Ralph Errico, tells Patch why he should be reelected to the Edison Board of Education.

EDISON, NJ — Former Edison Board of Education member Ralph Errico is running for a seat on the BOE this November. Errico was a member of the Edison BOE for five years before he resigned in December 2020. He also served as BOE president.

After Errico’s resignation, the BOE held a caucus and unanimously elected Biral Patel to fill in the remaining of Errico's term, which expires on Dec. 31, 2021. Errico is running again in a crowded field of nine candidates who are vying for three seats.

Education: Masters Degree in Educational Leadership

Occupation: Over 20 years as an educator

Why are you seeking elective office?

To ensure the students, parents, staff, and community get the best education possible with their tax dollars.

The single most pressing issue facing our board is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Transparency. I will work with fellow Members to ensure the public is involved in the decision-making process of major concerns.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am willing to listen and get out into the community.
