Edison FedEx Looking At Raritan Center Expansion

The company hopes to add a truck depot and storage lot. The application will go before the township Planning Board on Monday.

EDISON, NJ — FedEx in Raritan Center Edison is looking to expand by adding a truck depot and storage lot.

The company is going before the township Planning Board Monday evening, with an application on minor subdivisions to merge and configure two lots for the proposed truck storage and depot. The proposed storage facility is for 325 trailers.

They are also seeking approval for a maintenance facility and parking facility for 112 cars. The application includes a 5,076-square-foot salt shed, stormwater management facility, landscaping, lighting improvements, etc.

FedEx is looking to make these additions on Sweetwater Lane, which runs along the Raritan River in the Industrial Park.
