Edison To Host Community Eid Festivities On July 15

The festivities are being hosted in partnership with four Muslim community organizations.

EDISON, NJ — The Township will be hosting a community celebration for Eid-al-Adha on July 15.

The festivities are being hosted in partnership with four Muslim community organizations. The event will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be halal food vendors, face painting, bazaar, henna art, a kids zone and more.

This year, Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on June 28. Also known as "feast of sacrifice" Eid al-Adha, acknowledges the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim, also known as Abraham in Christianity and Judaism, to sacrifice his son as ordered by Allah.
