Edison House Fire On Winthrop Rd. Thursday Morning

EDISON, NJ — Firefighters battled this two-alarm house fire on Winthrop Road in Edison Thursday morning. These are photos from the scene.

The fire caused a two-hour delayed opening at the nearby Washington Elementary School on Winthrop Road, according to MyCentralJersey. Firefighters were first called to the home at around 7:15 a.m. Thursday. Everyone is out of the home safely; however, firefighters say there continues to be heavy fire conditions throughout. There is much traffic congestion in the area; be alert and avoid the area if possible.
