Edison Man Dies After Being Hit By A Car
A 68-year-old Edison man died Sunday night, hours after he was struck by a car on Amboy Avenue in the Clara Barton section, police said.

EDISON - A 68-year-old Edison man died Sunday night, hours after he was struck by a car on Amboy Avenue in the Clara Barton section, police said.
The victim, a Liddle Avenue resident, was struck at 7:50 p.m. Sunday by a Honda Accord as he crossed Amboy Avenue near 4th Street. He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with head injuries and died hours later, police said.
Police have not released the man's identify pending notification of his family.

The car's 35-year-old driver, from the Fords section of Woodbridge, told police that the pedestrian unexpectedly stepped into the street and was not in a crosswalk. She has not been charged in connection with the accident, which remains under investigation, police said.
