Edison Offers Historic Trolley Tours For America 250 Celebration
Tours run Aug. 16 and 23, covering sites from Revolutionary War battlefields to Thomas Edison's legacy.
EDISON, NJ — Edison Township will host a Historic Trolley Tour as part of its Edison 250 celebration, offering residents a guided ride through sites that shaped the township's history, according to the township's Recreation Department.
The tours will run Sunday, Aug. 16, and Sunday, Aug. 23, with two rides offered each day, from 9 to 11 a.m. and from noon to 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased by scanning a QR code on the event flyer.
The trolley tour will cover Native American sites, British colonial settlements, Revolutionary War battlefields, historic farms, railroads that shaped Edison, the growth of suburban Edison, and the legacy of Thomas A. Edison, according to the township.
